William Peace University, located in Raleigh, North Carolina, seeks applicants for the position of Director of Online Programs. The new Director will work with faculty to develop online courses that provide students with seamless and user-friendly online learning. He or she will also provide curriculum advising to students, recruit and hire online adjunct faculty, coordinate and conduct training for faculty in the development of online instructional materials methods, oversee the testing center for proctoring student exams, provide assistance to face-to-face faculty for the use of online teaching and learning methods to supplement traditional classes, and provide technological assistance for students. This position is housed within the William Peace School of Professional Studies, which offers evening and online courses to working adult students.

Qualifications: Candidates must have experience in managing and mentoring faculty and students in an academic setting, developing and conducting online faculty training workshops, and training faculty to integrate existing and emerging instructional and interactive technologies into the distance learning process. A minimum of two years of related experience in higher education and one year of online teaching experience at the college/ university level is required. A master’s degree in instructional design and/or an education-related field plus instructional design experience is essential. Preferred experience includes using Blackboard or Moodle, web and multimedia development software, and multimedia programming, design, and production.
